First Visit

When you arrive for your first visit, please be prepared to complete all insurance and health information forms that will allow us to begin your dental treatment. We will ask you to fill out several forms that will get you acquainted with our office.  If you like, please download, print and fill out the forms ahead of time.  This will streamline the registration process.  All of the forms that you need can be found here.

Your first visit will involve meeting with one of the doctors for a complete examination of your mouth.  This examination includes a thorough inspection of all hard and soft tissues of your mouth, including your teeth, bone, gums, throat, cheeks and tongue, and an oral cancer screening.  Any other necessary diagnostic records such as x-rays or study models may be taken at this time.  This comprehensive examination is performed because we believe that in order to prevent dental disease any active disease must be evaluated and eliminated.  We use the information gathered to develop an individualized treatment plan.  In cases that are appropriate, we begin your treatment with a cleaning, however in some cases we will need to further review the information we gather and determine the appropriate course of action.

During regular follow-up visits, we will examine your teeth and gums, screen you for oral cancer, clean your teeth and make plans for treatment, as needed. We will discuss any pain or problems you may be experiencing and answer any questions you may have.
